Relocation FAQs

I am moving house. Can you move my DStv?
Yes. A relocation is usually cheaper than a brand new installation because you keep your decoder and subscription. We remove the dish at the old address if you want it, and install and align it properly at the new one.
Should I take the old dish with me?
If it is in good condition, yes. If it has been up for years in salt air, the bracket and LNB are often past their best and it is worth replacing them rather than moving a corroded dish.
Do I need to tell DStv I have moved?
Yes, your account address should be updated. We handle the physical installation and signal side, and we will tell you exactly what to update on your account.
Can you do it on moving day?
We can, though it is usually calmer to book it for the day after. Either way, book early: month-end is the busiest time for relocations.
What if the new house has no TV point?
We install one. That is a normal part of the job and we will quote for the cable run before we start.
Do you cover the whole Overberg area?
We cover Betty's Bay and Kleinmond, Pringle Bay, Rooi Els and the Kogelberg. If you are moving somewhere just outside that, call 079 754 5527 and ask, because we often can.
